Nav.Net Beta 4.1

Posted in

First of all I want to thank to all new supporters. I've promised to create better features so I've immadiately started to work on a new release. Here are the new features:

File Format Tester tool tests Conditional Formats

File format tester can test conditional formats. Enter a file name to see what will happen on that filename hit. You can add multiple filenames merged with ";" to test further levels of conditions. You can also enter double filenames merged with & for testing conditional formats merged with &...

Nav.Net can download any media from any video sharing site

It was possible to copy videos from cache with our Cache Browser tool. Now we have something better. When you open a page that contains a FLV video, Nav.Net browser will instantly capture the video download URL and the gray down arrow under the browser screen turns green. Click that arrow to display all available downloads. It can virtually capture FLV files from all video sharing sites but some sites may not work. If you report me not working video sharing sites I can add additional configurations for them. The configuration tool for capturing media is Browser Filters Settings.

Nav.Net converts your downloaded FLV's to MPEG or other formats automatically

Sometimes I need to convert my downloaded FLV files to other formats. Download Manager Events are custom commands any that executes after a download finishes. It is possible to do anything to downloaded files with shell commands. Nav.Net setup pack contains an amazing command line tool named ffmpeg and that tool can convert video files to other media formats. It is possible to add custom commands with Download Manager Events that executes ffmpeg to convert files. By clicking Download Manager Events button on Download Manager screen, you can view available commands, enable or disable them and change their work order. You can create new commands or change existing ones from Download Manager Events settings screen. I've created a sample video convert command but if we talk about it I can add other useful presets.

Nav.Net corrects downloaded FLV and JPG files extentions if they have different or no extention.

Have you ever downloaded FLV from youtube or other video sharing sites? Sometimes downloaded files have no or incorrect extention and you have to rename them manually. Download manager can detect FLV and JPG files automatically and correct their extentions. All you have to do is keeping "Fix Downloaded File Extention" Event enabled. In fact Nav.Net can detect any file type so you can add other file types easily if you need. Just ask how.

Nav.Net will send me error logs.

I've improved Error dialog so you can view the error log or send it with default e-mail client. If Send E-mail command doesn't work display the error log and send it here or mail to errors@navnetapp.com. After sending the error report you can delete the log.

Nav.Net will find your best Max Thread Setting

Can you belive that? While Fuskering Nav.Net will automatically optimize your Max Threads value. You'll notice a checkbox next to Max Threads setting. Leave it checked and forget what your Max Threads value is. Nav.Net will change your Max Thread setting during fuskering but that changes are not permanent. That means FG will start always with the default Max Threads setting. This one is an important tip: Sometimes check the MT (Current Max Threads) value displayed next to ETA. Note the highest value and after FG session completes increase the default Max Threads value to that highest value. On your next FG session FG will start with that value so you'll always start fuskering with your best Max Threads setting. Please keep in mind that if you use your bandwith while FG running Nav.Net can decrease your Max Threads setting.

Automatic Settings Upgrade

With the latest release you'll never loose your program settings after version upgrades.
As always there are a lot of small fixes. Be sure to use latest release...
